Kathleen
M. Long, PT, CSCS
“Kathy” is a
Physical Therapist and co-owner of Total Therapy Solutions, LLC.
Kathy was born and
raised in Middletown, Ohio. She attained her Bachelor’s Degree in Physical
Therapy from Wheeling Jesuit University and West Virginia University in 1994.
She attained her CSCS (Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist) thru the
National Strength and Conditioning Association in 2001.
Kathy is a member of
the American Physical Therapy Association, the National Strength and
Conditioning Association, the IDEA Health and Fitness Association, the National
Osteoporosis Foundation and the Professional Health and Fitness Institute from
which she received her Pilates Instruction Certification in 2002.
Kathy has been
inducted to the Hall of Fame at Bishop Fenwick High School in 2000 where she was
All-Ohio selection in Soccer, Basketball and Track and at Wheeling Jesuit
University in 1999 where she participated in Women’s Basketball Program. She
was named All-American her Senior year at Wheeling Jesuit University and
Intercollegiate Athlete of the Year while helping to lead her team to the
National Tournament. In 1998, Wheeling Jesuit retired her basketball jersey
number "35".
Currently, Kathy is
active in the Women’s Sports League of Florida playing recreational soccer. She
is also a parishioner of the Saint Thomas More in Sarasota, Florida. Kathy has
given seminars on “Osteoarthritis and Exercise” and “Osteoporosis: The Silent
Disease” at various venues in Sarasota, FL.
